When our children wake on their Birthday, we like them to know it is their special day. We hang a Birthday sign with streamers, so that it is the first thing they see when they leave their room. Jennie was just waking up, but we could tell she liked the streamers.
Jennie got to go shopping with Grandma and pick out her own shoes and some sun glasses.
Jennie was giving me her look (Ya, I am eating ice out of the ice chest. Are you really going to stop me on my birthday?).
We were glad to see Jennie so excited about the singing, candles, and cake.

Exhausted after a long day and all that sugar.
